At the Inter-Parliamentary Conference for the CFSP/CSDP in the polish Sejm discussing how we tend to tone down the attacks on ourselves by calling them hybrid threats instead of calling them what they are — terrorism, sabotage, interference.


We can achieve European defence sovereignty through scale —  either we consolidate demand and production, or we remain permanently dependent
 
We need a grants system which is based on incentives for multi-national procurements that ensure the expansion of interoperable and intercompatible equipment and infrastructure in Europe. 
 

We also need to capitalise on Ukraine’s highly developed military production industry — which would aid both Ukraine’s economy and strengthen our own defence. 

 
With Russia’s Zapad 2025 military exercise approaching, NATO must respond—launch simultaneous snap exercises in the region.
 
On maritime security: Europe needs a unified sea regulation. Control over our waters, over Russia’s shadow fleet, and over our critical undersea infrastructure is essential. We must not only react — but deter and defend by denial.
